A partner at Runyon & Runyon, Raymond Runyon devotes his practice to the many legal issues faced by individuals, businesses, and families in Clarksville, Tennessee. This includes family law, estate planning and probate, personal injury, guardianships and conservatorships, civil litigation, and collections. The majority of his practice is focused on litigation. His tenacious, knowledgeable counsel helps his clients overcome difficult obstacles to build better lives and brighter futures.
Ray is a Clarksville native who attended the University of Virginia, majoring in history and philosophy, and graduating with his B.A. degree in 1995. He went on to attend the University of Tulsa College of Law, obtaining his M.A. and J.D., summa cum laude, in 1998. While at the University of Tulsa, Ray was the Development Editor of Law Review: Tulsa Law Journal. He authored “VMI and Virginia Lose Again: United States v. Virginia,” 32 Tulsa LJ 681 in 1997.
Since he began practicing as an attorney in 1998, Ray has been recognized for his skilled counsel and commitment to client service. He was recognized as a top trial attorney in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 in 2012 and was named in the Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠ Edition of 2011. He was also made a Fellow of bother the Young Lawyers Division of the Tennessee Bar Association, as well as the Tennessee Bar Association.
Ray is a current member of the Tennessee Association for Justice, Montgomery County Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He is a graduate of both Leadership Clarksville and the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law program. He is also a former president of the Montgomery County Bar Association and served as Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association, Committee on Continuing Legal Education from 2013-2014.
